I hope you all had a great summer. Here I am with my family. My son, Jonathan, is a junior at the University of La Verne. My daughter, Alexandra, is a sophmore at Gabrielino High School. Although I hate to see summer go, I always look forward to a new school year! This year I am teaching 5th grade. I have some familiar faces from 3rd grade and some new students to our school. We have such a great class. I know we are going to have a great year!

The Roosevelt Speech Club is a new club at Roosevelt for 4th and 5th graders. They are practicing their speeches, decorating their boards and getting ready for their first tournament at St Rita School on December 5. Tryouts for next year's team will be at the end of this school year. Good luck to our team!
After a woderful summer, it is always exciting to start a new school year! We have a great class and very supportive parents this year. I look forward to incorporating Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Communication to our class on a daily basis. Check the website every week for updates and photos! H It is hard to believe we are half way through the school year. Our third graders are learning, growing, reading, writing and discussing their thoughts and opinions. It is so important for them to discuss with you what they are reading and learning about. As we are taking assessments, we are analyzing WHY we may have made an error in order to understand our thinking and how to correct the error the next time. Multiplication is a must for third graders to master in order to be prepared for 4th grade math. Please continue to practice your multiplication tables, read, take AR tests and don't forget Study Island! Thanks for all your support this year!
